WD: Karin + Lou

It’s always the coolest thing to participate in unique and interesting wedding experiences and for Karin and Lou it was no exception. They brought their love of pokemon, specifically Bulbasaur, into the theme of their wedding. I even got my own “Pokemon Photographer” badge, I always appreciate when clients think about us. A little bit of backlight adds a lot of drama to any shot. Love all the details for the traditional Chinese dress for the tea ceremony. Look at that HEADDRESS.Getting a little creative with mirrors.
I love using the dress to help with foreground details.
A little fun with the bridesmaids. Hilarious.Over at the grooms side, we had to do some ring shots adjacent to these adorable figurines. During the first look, Lou is ready!I got a real close and intimate for this shot. What a breathtaking skyline…The bridal party!
Love the decor of this space.Here comes the bride.Look at the sugar work on that cake. This roast pig was styling!Coolest shades out there. Love these affectionate moments between them. During the father/daughter dance, it was an emotional moment for dad. Everyone was celebrating!
Tea ceremony.Custom 3D printed Bulbasaurs were made for this special day. Couldn’t resist using them.
A belting out of “Don’t Stop Believing” Love this B+W shot of their hands clasped together. It was a great night and a pleasure to have documented this day for both Karin and Lou. Congrats!
