Wedding Day | Avni + Terry | 26 Bridges, Brooklyn

The celebration continued for Day 2 of Avni and Terry’s wedding, it was centered on the beautiful, sacred rituals that bind two families. The air was a little thick due to the bonfire but also with positive energy.

From the vibrant colors and traditions with a modern twist. The celebration started with floral garlands that were draped over Avni and Terry. Then they took a blend of spices to ignite the fire…we were holding our breath a bit…hoping the smoke didn’t set off the sprinklers, hehe. Afterwards, they performed the Unity Knot: this symbolized the official coming together of both families.

What struck me most throughout the day wasn’t just the beauty of the rituals, but the joy that permeated every corner of the room. It wasn’t just a ceremony; it was a collective experience of love.
