Proposal | Alejandra + Ben | Hudson River Park, NY

When a moment is truly meant to be, everything falls into place. Ben first reached out to me about capturing his surprise proposal to Alejandra, but my calendar was completely packed. We quickly pivoted, coordinated a plan, and pulled everything together the very next day.

The result? An absolutely magical, spontaneous session filled with love, beautiful light, and a very special four-legged guest.

Planning a surprise proposal photography session usually takes weeks of scouting, timing, and back-and-forth messaging. However, last-minute proposal planning can bring a unique, high-energy excitement to the day. Ben and I locked in the details instantly, ensuring Alejandra wouldn’t suspect a thing.

On the day of the proposal, we were blessed with the most perfect mix of clouds and glowing sunlight. For a photographer, this combination is the ultimate dream, diffused light that creates soft, romantic skin tones, paired with that warm, golden hour radiance just as she said yes!
